Every year it seems more and more as if it’s summer one day and winter the next. I changed out my wardrobe from light fabrics to sweaters, which is what inspired December’s theme this year.

I used Inkscape to create a nordic pattern, which I printed out on sticker paper. I drew and painted a cozy sweater, and stuck the pattern on there.

This month’s theme contains so-called Dutch doors for my weeklies, I decorated the underlying pages with the printed pattern again.

In addition to the pattern, I also printed coloured strips that I used for the titles and tabs. I kept the weeklies clean and simple, to create some calm areas to write against the busy background.

To complement the cozy sweater that this theme started with, I painted an image of a pair of warm socks in the same way.
