I think this was a really challenging prompt to start Artober with, but in the end I think I did a good job interpreting this one.

My goal was to paint in layers and let the transparency show the underlying squares, but it seems that the paint I picked (Van Gogh watercolour, Phtalo Blue 570) is lifted easier than expected, so it didn’t quite work out how I envisioned it, but I still like the result!
